WHAT'S HAPPENING AT OUR SCHOOL:
 Our School
Dingeman Elementary is an amazing school community within the Scripps Ranch area. We serve close to 700 students from TK-5. We have honors and awards that we are proud of, but more importantly we hold values that set us apart.

Our school not only offers many educational and leadership opportunities, but we also hold a great value on acceptance and ownership as we work together to create a community of continual learning. We have a variety of programs that encourage collaboration and develop the highest expectations for the education of every child at Dingeman Elementary.
Â
We respect diversity, and promote the development of each individual child as a life-long learner and global citizen. Students are challenged to strive for excellence in a supportive, nurturing, interactive environment.

A Message from our Principal
Welcome to Dingeman Elementary!
Â
Since 2018, I have felt incredibly honored and grateful to serve this amazing school community. When I first joined Dingeman, I knew it was a special place. Eight years later, I can confidently say that it has become my second home. The partnerships we have built with our students, families, and staff are what make Dingeman such an exceptional place to learn and grow.
Â
I have been an educator in the San Diego Unified School District for over 18 years. I earned both my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education from San Diego State University and began my teaching career at Edison Elementary. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach students in Kindergarten through fifth grade at several elementary schools, including Sherman and Field Elementary, before serving as Vice Principal at Dingeman, E.B. Scripps, and Miramar Ranch. Those experiences helped shape my belief that every child deserves a supportive, engaging, and inspiring learning environment.
Â
At Dingeman, our mission extends far beyond academics. We are committed to creating a school culture where every student feels safe, valued, challenged, and connected. We believe in fostering acceptance, ownership, collaboration, and a love of lifelong learning. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to provide high-quality instruction while also developing leadership, character, and confidence in every child.
Â
I am incredibly proud of all that our school community has accomplished together over the past eight years. From expanding opportunities for student leadership and enrichment to celebrating academic achievement, the arts, and community events, our success has always been rooted in the strong partnerships between our staff, families, and students. Together, we continue to create meaningful experiences that help every child thrive.
Â
Whether you are new to Dingeman or returning for another wonderful year, I encourage you to become involved in our school community. The support and engagement of our families play a vital role in the success of our students, and I look forward to working alongside you throughout the year.
Â
Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. It is truly a privilege to serve as your principal, and I am excited for another year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Sincerely,
Dusty Pedrotti
Principal, Dingeman Elementary School
