Our volunteer orientation is designed to help you feel confident and prepared to lead engaging STEAM experiences in the classroom. During the orientation, you'll learn about the goals of the Dingeman STEAM Program, the volunteer role, classroom expectations, and tips for facilitating hands-on activities. We'll also review available STEAM lessons and resources, explain how classroom scheduling works, introduce our Makerspace and 3D printing opportunities, and share where to find ongoing support throughout the year.

After the orientation, all of the materials and resources covered will be available on this webpage, making it easy to revisit the information, access lesson materials, and find the support you need throughout the school year. Whether you're new to STEAM or a returning volunteer, you'll have everything you need to help create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for our Dingeman Tigers.
The Dingeman STEAM Program brings hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) experiences to every student through the support of our amazing parent and community volunteers. Throughout the school year, volunteers partner with teachers to lead engaging classroom lessons that inspire creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Each grade level explores approximately five STEAM lessons annually. Classroom leads choose from a variety of activities including engineering design challenges, coding and technology projects, maker activities, and 3D printing experiences. Our flexible program allows each classroom to tailor lessons to meet the interests and needs of their students while encouraging curiosity, innovation, and a growth mindset.
Together, we're helping Dingeman Tigers imagine, create, and discover that learning is an adventure because if you can DREAM it, you can STEAM it!
