Category B Volunteers

2026-2027 School Year Volunteer Clearance Forms & Instructions

Definition: Persons with group exposure who have little or no direct unsupervised exposure or contact with children, participating in school activities in open and public settings, and with classroom exposure who work with children and are supervised by district staff.

Activity Types: Classroom Volunteer (reading, tutoring, assistance)  /  After-school Programs (with staff supervision)   /   Room Parent  /  Campus Volunteer (office helpers, playground helpers)

Requirements & Forms: 

IMPORTANT:
You will not receive a reply or a confirmation that your email has been received. If you have not gotten a reply two weeks after submitting your packet, you are cleared to volunteer. The list of cleared volunteers will not be released until after the school year starts. 

Category D Volunteers

Definition: Volunteers with unrestricted exposure, who work with children and may be unsupervised by district staff. This volunteer likely will have direct and unsupervised interaction with children.

Activity Types: Field Trip Chaperones  /  Overnight Field Trip Chaperone  /  Classroom and or School Volunteering without Staff supervision

Requirements & Forms: ​

You can drop off your completed application and supporting documents at the front office Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m., or email Donna Rezanka @ drezanka@sandi.net.

It is recommended to make copies of all your forms and documentation to save at home.
